ABOUT BHI EDUCATION
The Bogusz Hill Initiative educates Ukrainian women and children while they are displaced from their homeland due Russia's brutal war in Ukraine. By teaching the English language to over 200 residents of Hotel Maria in Nowe Brzesko, Poland, we provide Ukrainian refugees with an opportunity for a brighter future.
With Ukraine striving toward the goal of European Union membership, one of the recognized required preconditions reducing and combating domestic violence throughout the country. BHI's work at Hotel Maria aims to assist Ukraine in this journey by providing women a skill set to obtain higher wage jobs to be able to flee homes where domestic violence is present. The women of the Bogusz Hill Initiative continue to unlock their capacity, creativity and leadership skills, so that they may support their children and stand on their own in a healthy environment in Ukraine's bright future.

About The Facility
Hotel Maria is located in the town of Nowe Brzesko, Poland and offers a sense of community to Ukrainian refugees. Each adult female living in the home is expected to contribute each day by taking on a task - cleaning, cooking or providing childcare. While many are able to stay and care for others in the community, some of the younger adults are sent to work in the nearby fields and farms in order to earn a living for the families through physically demanding manual labor.
The children of Hotel Maria returned this autumn to schools in Nowe Brzesko where they continue their primary studies in math and science. With over 20 English lessons provided each week at our facility, the children of the Bogusz Hill Initiative have the unique opportunity to expand their education while having an enhanced sense of community in their lives.
